Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Canton, NY

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton is a Welcoming Congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Both the local church and the UUA fully support the rights and worth of GLBT people, and are active in the freedom to marry movement. The ministers perform services of union and child dedication ceremonies for same-sex couples. The church welcomes GLBT people into full participation in all programs and staffing, and the religious education program celebrates all families. With roots in liberal Protestantism, Unitarian Universalism now draws on wisdom from all the world’s religions, and from nature, science, art, and each person’s own experience.

Sunday worship services begin at 10:30 a. m. The church’s website has details about the Welcoming Congregation program and links to information on religion and homosexuality.
